Talk: “From Alcohol Addiction to a Healthy Mind”

Katie W. Robinette is the Executive Director of Healthy Minds Canada (HMC), a national charity in the mental health and addictions space with a mission to empower Canadians to take charge of their mental health, where she has worked since 2013. Prior to joining HMC, Katie had a long career in government relations and lobbying (both for-profit and non-profit) as well as having dozens of leadership roles in campaigns and elections in Canada and the US. Her claim to fame is serving as an impromptu body guard for then Vice-President Dick Cheney, successfully preventing a near tragic incident at a campaign rally in Missouri.
